When you enter a league, your Baller is placed on a team; Ballerz without a team enter a draft pool. Leagues are gated by Overall rating so teams are evenly matched. Most leagues take any NBA Top Shot moment as the entry fee. At the start of a season your positions and Sneakerz lock, but you can still make bench swaps mid-season.

Gloves off. No Overall restrictions, no gating — the best team wins. This is the open league where anything goes. Entry is organized through the Discord.

All-Star Ballerz are special-edition NFTs custom-made for people who are ballers on and off the court in the community, with perfect 99 ratings across the board. They can't be used in Standard or LVP leagues — they're reserved for the Premier league and unsanctioned tournaments.

• A season runs about four weeks, including All-Star events and a Playoff Tournament for the BBL Ring.
• In the regular season, every team plays every other team once.
• Playoffs are best-of-5; the Finals are best-of-7.
• Remember: synergy is worth ~2.5× in the playoffs — build a balanced roster, not just five stars.

Between seasons, the community runs special tournaments announced in Discord and on Substack. Formats rotate — for example:

• Rare Traits Only — only Ballerz with rare traits qualify.
• 1v1 — single Baller showdowns.
• Draft — build from a shared pool.
• Golf — lowest score wins.
• Mixed (Team Up) — combine rosters with others.

The Discord is the heartbeat of Ballerz — season announcements, the Whalez League, and tournament signups all happen there.
