El Diablo Runs Toronto Wire-to-Wire

Toronto put together its most complete performance of the young season, beating the Wisconsin Dragons 119-109 behind a dominant night from El Diablo, who stuffed every column of the box score: 22 points on 8-of-15 shooting, 11 rebounds, 10 assists, three steals and two blocks in 38 minutes. The triple-double was the engine; the efficiency was the story.
The Spears built their margin across the middle two quarters, never letting Wisconsin cut the deficit below eight once the third period opened. Vic came off the bench and poured in 18 points on 7-of-12 from the field, including three treys, finishing a plus-13 in under 26 minutes. That burst widened a gap that Toronto refused to surrender down the stretch.
Diablo's floor-general work was the separating factor. The big man finished with just two turnovers against ten assists, a ratio that kept the Spears offense operating in rhythm while Wisconsin scrambled to account for drivers and cutters simultaneously. He shot 5-of-8 from the free-throw line and grabbed every critical defensive rebound when the Dragons tried to claw back.
Wisconsin got a strong individual effort from Clutch Magic, who scored 25 on an efficient 8-of-13 from the floor, drilling all three of his three-point attempts and going 6-of-8 from the line. The problem was the minus-25 plus-minus printed next to his name. Rocky Livingstone was even better statistically, posting 14 points, 19 rebounds and 10 assists with zero turnovers in 35 minutes, but the Dragons could not manufacture stops when it counted. Toronto outscored them by double digits overall despite those two combining for a near-historic stat night.
The Spears take a 10-point margin of victory into whatever comes next, with the depth chart looking deeper by the week. A reserve who shot 6-of-7 from the floor, including 2-of-2 from three, in 17 minutes adds a wrinkle that will only get harder to game-plan against as the roster chemistry tightens.
