HOUSTON, Hare Jordan finished with 26 points, 10 rebounds, three blocks, and a shooting line of 9-of-18 from the field, including 6-of-11 from three, and that was just enough for the Delaware Horsemen to survive a Houston Rogues squad that cut the deficit to one in the final seconds and lost 95-94.
The margin was that thin throughout. Houston never led by more than a handful, but the Rogues kept pulling back every time Delaware pushed ahead. The closest thing to a turning point came with the Horsemen leaning on Jordan in the mid-range and beyond the arc, forcing Houston into a series of scrambled defensive rotations it could not fully recover from. Kailyah Foster, finishing an absurd 4-of-4 from the field and 2-of-2 from three in 25 minutes, gave Houston a plus-10 burst off the bench that nearly flipped the game entirely, but Delaware's lead proved durable by the thinnest of margins.
Jordan was the story. The forward who can rebound and step out to knock down threes went for a double-double, 26 and 10, while committing just one turnover in 36-plus minutes. His six three-pointers were the kind of volume-and-efficiency combination that makes defensive game-planning nearly impossible; you can't sag off a player hitting at that clip, but closing out leaves the paint open for Beast DaSneak, who controlled the offense with 10 assists against one turnover despite shooting only 2-of-12 from the field. Rex Worthy added 14 points on 4-of-10 shooting with a team-best plus-14 in his 29 minutes, providing the connective tissue that kept Delaware's offense coherent in the stretches Jordan rested.
For Houston, Floater's 18-point, 8-rebound, 5-assist line looked impressive until you factored in five turnovers and a 6-of-16 field goal night that left points scattered all over the floor. Cobra chipped in 13 on 5-of-11 shooting with two steals, but the Rogues collectively could not generate the stop they needed when it mattered most.
Delaware improves with a win it will not frame as pretty but will absolutely take. Houston drops a game it had every chance to steal, and the questions about closing out close games will not disappear quietly.
